Evelyn Prodoehl, an eighth-grader at Lakota West Junior High in West Chester, Ohio, won the girls division of the mixed middle school race at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions, presented by The Garrett Companies. Prodoehl set the middle school record on the 3-kilometer layout by clocking 10:45 at the LaVern Gibson course in Terre Haute, Ind. Prodoehl, who had placed third at her middle school state competition in Ohio, was 15th overall, including all of the male competitors.
